Johnson proposed to further develop their traditional glass blowing expertise and experimental techniques through enrolling in a two week workshop at Pilchuck Glass School. Johnson would then acquire the tools and materials necessary to create a sculptural body of work in glass whose material speaks as a metaphor for natural occurrences.
