Frequently asked questions
How do I join?
Please fill out this form online to request a tour of our coworking space. We’ll show you around, answer your questions, and let you get a feel for things before helping you select a cowork plan.
Who can join?
The Center for Craft is redefining what it means to create, innovate, and connect in Western North Carolina with a coworking space made for and by makers. The space is collaborative, accessible to the creative community, and tailored to the needs of Asheville’s creative sector.
We welcome students, makers, artists, designers, scholars, entrepreneurs, and the businesses and services that support them for a shared experience of human ingenuity.
How much does it cost?
We are excited to a variety of cowork packages in our newly renovated space – there is something for everyone! Our single day passes begin at $35/day per person, flex desks (unassigned stations) begin at $100/month per person, and our anchor desks (assigned stations) begin at $300/month per person.
The Center for Craft has partnered with UNC Asheville and Warren Wilson College to provide a 50% discount for their students who are interested in the flex desk packages. We will offer a 25% discount for all other students signing up for either flex desk package. All students must sign up for their cowork package with a valid .edu email address. To sign up with a student discount, please contact our Community Coordinator at cowork@centerforcraft.org
Can I use the meeting/event rooms in the space?
Yes! Each cowork plan includes a specified number of monthly hours in our small or large conference rooms. If you manage to use all your allotted hours, we offer coworkers a 50% discount on daytime bookings. We’re also thrilled to provide unlimited use of three privacy rooms, which can be used by new mothers, for your private phone calls, or a moment of quiet time.
Is parking available?
The Center for Craft is able to offer a limited number of onsite, assigned parking spaces for our coworkers at $125/month. Ask our Community Coordinator about availability and adding it to your coworking package.
Other parking options include hourly parking along Broadway Street, the McLaurin Parking Lot across the street (next door to the Masonic Temple), and the public parking under I-240. The City of Asheville also provides hourly or monthly parking at the Civic Center Garage and the Rankin Avenue Garage.
My dog/cat/rabbit is really sweet. Can I bring them to work with me?
As much as we love pets, we are unable to allow them in our space. While the coworking space is on the second floor, animals threaten the integrity of our first floor galleries and other exhibits.
