REsearch & IDEAS

The New Apprenticeship Project

Born out of Center for Craft’s September 2012 Craft Think Tank, The New Apprenticeship Project was the result of a convene of seventeen scholars, practitioners, and experts on apprenticeships. For two days attendee’s met to present and discuss the status of apprenticeship within the American culture and economy today.

The New Apprenticeship Project supported contemporary creative and skills-based training, updating the traditional form of apprenticeships through research and the publication of resources in order to meet the needs of today’s craft community.
