The weaver’s grid has long served as a frame for irregularity, material experiment, and handcraft. Sheila Hicks’ Minimes, hand-sized compositions woven daily from disparate materials have inspired Tie Up, Draw Down, an exhibition about translating the weave across media, genres, and and conceptual frameworks, and between micro and macro scale.
