Murphy set out to visit, study and work in the Lyhotsky Studio located in the Czech Republic, and to enroll as an “artist in residence” at the University of Sunderland, in northeast England. Furthermore they would purchase new tools and equipment, permitting them to continue creating new work that would lead to new opportunities.
