Nicole Havekost (b. 1970) is an artist living and working in Rochester, Minnesota. Her work is varied in media, and she is drawn to materials that are both delicate and familiar, evocative of the body, lived experience, and memory. Nicole is deeply interested in process, labor, and a compulsive mark-making that span both time and surface. She is represented by Dreamsong in Minneapolis and is a past member of A.I.R. Gallery in Brooklyn. Nicole has exhibited both nationally and internationally, and has been an artist in residence at the McColl Center and the Vermont Studio Center. Her work has been written about in Sculpture Magazine, Textiel Plus, and Arte Morbida, amongst others. Nicole earned her BFA at the Rhode Island School of Design in 1994 and her MFA from the University of New Mexico in 1997.
