The Sherman Heights Community Center’s “26th Annual Día De Los Muertos" Celebration

The Sherman Heights Community Center’s “26th Annual Día de los Muertos" celebration goes digital! We continue the month-long tradition in a safe, engaging, and grassroots manner with a pivot to online programming. COVID-19 has disproportionately affected Latinxs communities & this celebration allows the community to deal with loss in a culturally significant manner. Content includes a family altar exhibition, craft workshops, hands-on curricula, live conversations, performances, at-home games, culinary demonstrations & a collective community altar honoring those who have died due to COVID-19.
