Craft Futures Fund
2020
Returning the Future responds to growing social and cultural divides emerging as a consequence of C-19 by connecting traditional community-based forms of craftmaking to environmental and political challenges in our present and near future. Using the traditional methods of adobe building, Returning the Future will bring cross-generational Hispanic, migrant, and First Nations people together in a collective action involving storytelling and handmaking organic small vessels which will shapeshift to create a regenerative community garden to symbolize hope.
