Sweet Impressions: Carved Wooden Confectionery Molds in the United States
Carved wooden confectionery molds are an understudied area of American craft. This project uses the discovery of a group of historic molds to direct further research on the technical and professional practices of mold carvers, as well as the origins, evolution, and relevance of their craft.
