Elly Arvizu is a Latino ceramic artist from Charlottesville, Virginia, currently occupying Cleveland Ohio. He recently has earned his Bachelors Degree of Fine Arts in Ceramics - at The Cleveland Institute of Arts.
While he’s been a part of the institute he has been able to achieve goals like, his first solo show NOT A SIN in 2022, twice recipient of the Mary Ann and jack katzenmeyer award for outstanding craft and will be the first of his family to graduate from college 2023-2024.
In creating a contemporary mythology through incorporating writing reflections, ceramic sculptures, and mosaics my emotional experiences are transformed into physical reflections of my catharsis.
