To mark our 25th Anniversary, the Center for Craft awarded twenty Windgate-Lamar Fellows with an additional unrestricted $10,000 to encourage continued practice in craft, in addition to participation in career consultation sessions and networking opportunities.

On Saturday, November 16, the Center for Craft will celebrate its public grand reopening after nearly a year of renovations to its historic 1912 building at 67 Broadway in downtown Asheville.

The gallery will support emerging makers and foster talent with the help of local donors.

Visitors to downtown Asheville could soon get a new view of the cityscape at the intersection of Broadway and Woodfin Avenue.

Interdisciplinary convergence and discussion to shape the Center for Craft’s future direction

In total, the 2022 Craft Research Fund Artist Fellowship, Exhibition Grant, and Project Grant awarded $137,135 to eleven organizations, scholars, and makers in support of craft research, exhibitions, catalogs, and projects in the United States.
